Aim

To give guidance on the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis in the context of diabetes.

Biochemical markers of bone fragility in diabetes: to review the current understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying bone fragility in type 1 diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes mellitus with specific focus on biochemical markers reflecting cellular and molecular changes in diabetic bone.
